Re-enacting the landing of Cook at 1770

It was the location where Captain James Cook first made footfall onto the Queensland mainland on May 24th 1770. As I was an Englishman in the same location we decided to have a bit of fun and dress up – much to Bre’s delight! The local newspaper captured the images and then published them on the front page of the latest edition:

Ben – sounds great bud! I was in the Town of 1770 16 years ago whilst doing the backpacking thing – great place, camped just off the beach, swam with dolphins, excellent locals – you’re living the dream my friend
Right back to work here in dreary England!!!! Keep those blogs coming
